Oh Indy only if I could be there to enjoy the the festivities of the Super Bowl finally in my city. When I found out that the Super Bowl was coming to Indy I was extremely excited. I was going to go to this thing and that thing and hang out downtown to people watch. Well as you all know I won't be there because I moved away. Such is life but maaaaaan to be there in the midst of all the excitement would have been one of the highlights of 2012.Of course I wouldn't be a part of the mainstream of things because I be darn to dish out $$$$$ for a city that I live in...... Although the Zipline that will run tandem down Capitol Avenue does sound like something I would of attempt for a change of pace kind of thing . Did you know that it will be the longest temporary Zipline in the United States? Only in Indy folks :-) I hope all of you that will be joining in the the fun have enough fun for me......Think of me as you zip down the Zipline.....

With the Super Bowl being in Indy it takes me to my next subject.......ARTIST and I'm talking our own....LOCAL ARTISTS....
And I'm not just talking about Mike Epps either...(not to take away from his rise in stardom) but I'm talking about the local artists that we love (or at least you should be loving).....We have the awesome Blackberry Jam, Cynthia Lane, Living Proof (hey Leonard Patterson and gang).....and a very dear friend of mine (and I am self proclaimed his number 1 fan) Bashiri Asad......of course there are a host of local DJ's and other local artists who will be putting it down in the name of INDY PRIDE.....SO LET's SHOW SOME SUPPORT PEOPLE......and I'm not just saying to show up but these artist have CDs and more to offer....*I'mJusSayin*

Oh I'm not done with the local artists section......There are other local artists who are out there doing the darn thing and they REP Indy to the fullest as well. All I'm saying is if you know one....support...go to the shows at the local venues...buy their material (i.e. books, cds, etc.) let these artist know that we are proud of them for following their dream and their passion. When I left there were some upsides to supporting our own and then there were some downsides in NOT supporting our own. Being a "local artist" myself I made it an appoint to support those who were doing their thing.....no matter what. It feels awesome to know that your home supports you in your passion.....and we have some really bad ass talent in INDY....Tasha Jones, Naz the anti-star, Kool's bazarre, januarie York, Tony Styxx (just to name a few)....we have awesome local photographers OwtSpok3n Photography
